This Health and Safety Policy sets out our approach to managing risks associated with gardening, landscaping and grounds maintenance so that our work is carried out safely, responsibly and in line with current legislation and industry good practice.

Policy Aims

The aims of this Health and Safety Policy are to prevent injury, ill health and property damage, and to promote a positive safety culture throughout Gardeners Rayners Lane. We achieve this by identifying hazards in our day-to-day gardening activities, assessing and controlling risks, and providing appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision for all members of our team.

Management Responsibilities

The management of Gardeners Rayners Lane has overall responsibility for health and safety within the company. Management will:

Provide suitable resources, including time, equipment and training, to support safe working practices. Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions. Follow all health and safety instructions, safe systems of work and training provided by the company. Use tools, machinery, personal protective equipment and materials correctly and only for their intended purpose.
